Pemberdayaan Kelompok KB Pria "Prio Utomo"dalam Meningkatakan Kepesertaan KB Vasektomi di Desa Tlahab Kidul Kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten Purbalingga

One of the factors that triggers the high births in Indonesia is the low number of acceptors of birth control in men with childbearing age. The low participation of men in the use of birth control tools/methods is also due to the limited availability of kb tool/method options. The National Population and Family Planning Agency has made various efforts to increase participants of birth control vasectomy, but it has not been optimal in increasing the participation of birth control vasectomy. In order for the implementation of this Vasectomy counseling to be carried out with optimal results, in the village of Tlahab Kidul, a male birth control group was formed called the Prio Utomo male KB group. This study aims to (1) analyze the efforts to empower the Prio Utomo family planning group in increasing the participation of Vasectomy Family Planning in Tlahab Kidul Village (2) Analyze the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of male participation in Vasectomy Planning in Tlahab Kidul Village (3) Formulate a community empowerment model in increasing the participation of Vasectomy Family Planning. The research was conducted in Tlahab Kidul village, Karangreja District. This research uses a descriptive qualitative type of research. Data collection with in-depth interviews, observations and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 6 key informants, 6 main informants and 6 supporting informants. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The data validity test is carried out through triangulation of three data sources and triangulation with three data collection techniques. Based on the results of the research and discussion carried out, conclusions were obtained (1) Empowerment in increasing the participation of Vasectomy Family Planning in Tlahab Kidul Village including: forms of information, access to information, forms of socialization, namely; a) depending on cadres, midwives, birth control extension workers, b) sharing, c) growing awareness, d) Displaying shoplifting. The Prio Utomo male KB group in providing information is still limited. Caused by: the program is incidental, carried out when there is a demand, there is no source of funds, the program is not structured, does not have counseling media, blends activities with existing activities, is still accompanied by midwives and family planning extension workers. (2) Factors supporting the participation of male vasectomy in Tlahab Kidul Village include compensation, motivation from previous Vasectomy participants, Educational information communication, effective, efficient and and economical, economic factors, incompatibility of wives in using birth control contraceptives, and health. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the existence of community rumors, the number of female contraceptives, and the lack of public awareness (3) The formulation of the empowerment model for the Prio Utomo male KB group in increasing the participation of vasectomy birth control can be seen in the increasing number of vasectomy acceptors, the sustainability of the activity program about vasectomy, the increasing public awareness about vasectomy.
